note5.March - The Ticker Tape

In continuously investigating my mind, and the origin and ends of consciousness, I find that the running mind, what we commonly describe as "our thoughts" is very much like a ticker tape machine of old times. data spews out, volatile, endless, mostly useless and all of it relative. freedom comes when we stop looking at the tape or better yet, unplug the machine.

note4. March - A fair exchange is no robbery

Today I spent quite a bit of time thinking about the concepts of ownership, compensation, free and not so free exchange and Appreciation. They are all related. As soon as we are clear about what it means to value what we do and appreciate what others do (and tell them) everything shifts. Values get re-assigned and true worth becomes self evident. Honor, respect and love freely flow. *Money may (or may not) be part of the exchange.*

It's pretty typical that I see these type of documentaries after everyone else does, but let's just say that it made me cry. I can't believe that this is the state of affairs in my country. Anger just won't cut it.

When you are short on time and trying to decide whether you should spend more time cleaning or make ice cream, always go for the ice cream. No one gives a hoot how clean your floors are when they are digging in.

note1.March - Found my iPod today to my delight. Old favorites like Joni Mitchell, Miles of Aisles live "Both Sides Now" and KT Tunstall's "Universe & U" will forever go down in my history of music as tear-to-the-eye-every-time magic. My life is one big daily trip. I love all of it, the learning gets more blessed every turn I take and I am getting into the curves and bumps with greater delight because I know they yield the most.
